Consider how you can Make our World a Better Place with a Legacy Gift.
Many gifts are “planned” to some extent. Even our weekly giving to the church usually follows a plan. However, when we speak of planned or legacy gifts, we are referring to gifts that require more intentional planning and often come from accumulated assets over one’s lifetime. They are gifts given in a Will, a life insurance policy or other deferred gifts, where the gift is realized sometime in the future, and creates a lasting legacy. Planning your legacy gift can be a great way to have an impact far into the future in areas such as innovative ministries, church developments and leadership, social programs and many other ministries, locally or regionally within Southern Ontario.
Making a lasting impact and dreaming new dreams for the church with your gift is easier than you might think. Read about the many ways you can make a Legacy gift below.
Gift in Your Will
A charitable gift in your Will of any size to support TUCC’s mission of connecting resources with ministries, is a meaningful way to live out your faith and values, and to co-create the church of the future. Leaving a gift in your Will is easy and can provide your estate with much needed tax benefits. All legacy gifts have the power to help shape the future of the faith communities, locally and regionally within Southern Ontario. Learn more.

Meet one of TUCC's Visionary Givers
Ken Ramsay, of Toronto, knows how important summer camp was for his two kids, and for him when he became a single father. Along with being a monthly donor, Ken shares his story about why he’s leaving a gift in his Will to TUCC’s Camping Opportunities Fund. Take a listen.
Gift of Life Insurance
A unique and creative way to leave a larger legacy gift to the church and ministries you deeply care about. For a relatively modest investment, you have the opportunity to make a generous donation to any of TUCC’s mission-orientated funds, and/or other vital ministries you deeply care about through the gift of life insurance. Many donors, young and young-at-heart, aspire to make substantial contributions to innovative ministries, leadership development, and/or social justice projects to the church locally and regionally within Southern Ontario. Yet financial constraints might limit their ability to do so during their lifetime. The gift of life insurance opens the door to a creative solution, allowing you to craft a meaningful gift that you may not have considered feasible. The impact you can make is substantial. You can opt to donate a new policy (best for younger donors) or an existing policy (best for older and young-at-heart donors). Learn more.

Gift of Securities
A gift of publicly traded appreciated securities is a creative option for many donors who want to have a meaningful impact and avoid or reduce capital gains tax. This creative gift can be made during your lifetime or as a last legacy gift through your estate. Learn more.

Gift of RRSP / RRIF / TFSA
Making TUCC the beneficiary of an Registered Retirement Savings Plan, Registered Retirement Income Fund, or Tax Free Savings Account allows you to create a legacy once your needs and those of your loved ones have been met. Donating all or part of an RRSP, RRIF, or TFSA, is an effective way to reduce the fees and taxes payable by your estate and at the same time, make a decisive act to change the lives of others for generations to come.
