Halton United Church Extension Council Fund Grant Application

Halton United Church Extension Council Fund Grant Application Form

The application process for the Halton United Church Extension Council Fund is designed to ensure alignment with the mission, values, and objectives of the fund, offering support to churches and communities of faith within Horseshoe Falls Regional Council seeking to make their facilities more accessible. The former Extension Council in partnership with TUCC developed this fund with the mission, value and belief that accessibility encompasses a range of adaptations to support inclusivity, improve safety, and ensure that all individuals feel welcomed and supported within community of faith and congregational spaces.

Please describe the purpose of the project, identifying specific accessibility barriers it will address. Include an explanation of how the project will enhance inclusivity and better serve the community and anticipated impact on community members, particularly those with mobility challenges, sensory processing needs, or other unique accessibility requirements.
Please provide a comprehensive budget outlining the costs associated with the proposed accessibility improvements. Indicate whether the project will be a single, complete effort (“one-and-done”) or will require ongoing maintenance or support (e.g., installation of an elevator, annual upkeep of electronic systems). For projects requiring ongoing upkeep, include a plan detailing how future maintenance costs will be managed to ensure long-term sustainability. This may include funding sources, service contracts, or volunteer support strategies.
Please outline a proposed project timeline, indicating key phases and an estimated completion date.
Please describe any partnerships or volunteer contributions that will support the project, including other financial or in-kind resources (e.g. Home Hardware supplying drywall as an in-kind donation). Where possible, outline how the community of faith has been involved in identifying the needs and planning for this improvement.
