From Albatross to Asset
Toronto United Church Council can help you make your church building an asset that supports your mission and not just an expensive, if much-loved, burden.
Combining wide experience in congregational development with expertise in building use and market analysis, TUCC staff can help communities of faith refocus their approach, and achieve the right balance between needed revenue and the use of property as a tool to live out its mission.
Working with TUCC you will clarify your values and mission, identify the real costs of your building, name risks and liabilities, and develop a clear assessment of the local market and potential for new users. We will explore with you best practice models and develop new covenants to guide developing relationships.

“This work flipped our perspective! We’re now seeing the potential in our property. It’s like looking at what we have with entirely different eyes.”
