  2. Evangelism, Social Services and Camping
To carry on all of its work and to conduct itself in all its associations as responsible stewards of the assets placed in its care for management and application so as to be an active partner with Toronto Conference and the Presbyteries in the service of God for the extension of the Christian Gospel to the improvement of the human condition.

  3. Communication
To develop, maintain and communicate current information about the various ministries and communities within the bounds of the Presbyteries.

  4. Church Development
To assist Toronto Conference and the Presbyteries to carry on church development work and to participate in timely new expressions of the church's ministry by providing appropriate research, planning, information and financial aid.

  5. Ecumenical and Interchurch Activities
To develop ecumenical and interfaith relationships on behalf of and in consultation with Toronto Conference and the Presbyteries in the face of emerging needs, and to cooperate with such other organizations as are appropriate in cases in which there may be coincidence of purpose.

  6. Pastoral Charge Support
To provide support in long-range planning for financial and stewardship development, organizational development, and leadership development to Pastoral Charges within the Presbyteries at the invitation of the Pastoral Charges and with the approval of the appropriate Presbytery.

  7. Assets Management
To provide financial management of assets placed in its care by action of the Presbyteries or Toronto Conference either to carry on the objects of the Corporation or to meet specific charitable purposes set out in the assignment of funds.

The Toronto United Church Council works with more than 300 congregations and mission units, 4 presbyteries and with Toronto Conference itself to promote the development of our church. It is responsible for gathering the knowledge and some of the finances needed for this development. For 117 years, its work has helped congregations realize their dreams.
